FreeLife Announces Results of 2 New Studies
A – GoChi Immune Study
Significantly improved immune system discovered as a result of new randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled scientific study on GoChi.
Scientists measured 3 key markers for immune health in the blood of 60 healthy adults who drank 4 ounces of GoChi for 30 days.
1) Lymphocytes – small white cells that circulate in the bloodstream to defend against bacteria, viruses, toxins. They have a large role in commanding and directing many functions in our highly complex immune systems. GoChi study shows a 27% increase of Lymphocytes.
2) Interleukin-2 (IL-2) – a protein that has an essential job as a cell messenger that spreads danger alarm whenever our body is under attack. IL-2 recruits stem cells and turns them into T-cells, the elite commandos of the immune system. T-cells can intercept and destroy anything that would put us in jeopardy. This cannot happen without Interleukin-2, so the increase in our study is something very special. GoChi study shows a 58% increase of Interleukin-2.

Antioxidant potential has often been measured by an ORAC score. ORAC test measures antioxidant potential as it occurs in a test tube. ORAC cannot determine that the antioxidants are actually working in the body. A landmark 2004 study reported in the American Journal of Nutrition found that antioxidants with high ORAC scores are actually poorly absorbed in the body and does not represent antioxidant power in the body. Only active antioxidants in the body reduce free radical activity.
Scientists found a significant increase in 2 important antioxidants and a significant decrease in a major free radical in the blood of 50 healthy adults between the ages of 55-72 who drank 4 ounces of GoChi for 30 days.
1) Superoxide dismutase (SOD): the body's antioxidant defense against inflammatory free-radicals. GoChi study shows significant increase in SOD (8.39%) with a 99% confidence factor.
2) Glutathione perioxidase (GSH-Px): antioxidant and detoxifying enzymes. GoChi study shows significant increase in Glutathione peroxidase (9.87%) with a 99% confidence factor.
3) Malondialdehyde (MDA): free radical know to cause significant cell damage. GoChi study shows significant decease of MDA free radicals (8.66%) with a 99% confidence factor.

A Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Clinical Study of the General Effects of a Standardized Lycium barbarum (Goji) Juice, GoChi™

This first randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial has examined the general effects of orally consumed goji berry, Lycium barbarum in a form of standardized juice (GoChi™). The sample was provided to healthy adults for 14 days of consuming 120 ml/day. Subjective questionnaire ratings (0-5) were used for general well-being, neurological/psychological traits, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular complaints and any adverse effects. Questionnaire data were analyzed between day 1 and day 15 with the nonparametric Wilcoxon matched pairs tests. Significant differences were found in the GoChi group (N = 16) and consisted of increased ratings for energy level, athletic performance, quality of sleep, ease of waking up, ability to focus on activities, mental acuity, calmness, and feelings of health, contentment and happiness. GoChi also significantly reduced feelings of fatigue and stress, and improved bowel regularity. The placebo group (N = 18) showed only two significant changes (heartburn and happiness). No significant changes in musculoskeletal or cardiovascular complaints were observed in either group. All parametric data (body weight, etc.) were not significantly different. These results clearly indicate that daily consumption of GoChi increases subjective feelings of general well-being, neurological/psychological traits and gastrointestinal regularity.
